Fireshade is a ceramic glaze manufacturing company. We specialize in custom glaze development and production.

For 37 years our excellent custom glaze and underglaze products have been used in production by professional potters, production studios, tile, lamp and giftware makers.

From consultation with any customer we ascertain their kiln firing range and cooling characteristics. The customer explains the glaze color, texture, transparency, opacity, and other characteristics required. The customer needs to provide us with specimens that represent the glaze color needed. This may be either glaze chips, fabric swatches, paint chips or pantone ink selections.

For environmental and health concerns we have developed many lead free compounds for use on low temperature earthenware. Whenever practical it is our intent to develop and produce lead free products.
